Dreamcatchers Foundation essentially provides a service for charities in the Kirklees region to assist and support them with their funding needs. This could include the following:

MEET US

Nina Thomas

Nina has over 20 years' experience of working with communities within West Yorkshire primarily Kirklees. Having graduated at Huddersfield University as a Post Grad in 2004, she has worked on a range of projects in Kirklees such as detached/outreach youth work, youth clubs, youth parliament, community events, and supporting the development of community organisations. 

Nina has previously worked within children's mental health educating parents, schools and community organisations in supporting children and young people as a CAMHS Education Links Worker at Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust. Nina currently divides her time between working as an HR Director for a local office supplies company and a Practitioner for Barnardo’s, supporting young family carers in Kirklees. She also sits as the Chair of a Calderdale charity Edshift, which works with families of domestic violence.

Nina has a unique understanding of the social and political environment in which Kirklees charities and social purpose organisations currently function, bringing together a wide experience of day-to-day knowledge and high-level strategic expertise.

Roger Seeney

Roger is a Master’s and Prince2 qualified practitioner, with 20 years’ experience in Project Management, Change Management, Stakeholder Management and Operational expertise across a range of sectors. During this period, Roger has had management responsibility for a portfolio of contracts across the UK and looking after the Bid Management and Tender process. He has previously worked in a senior and middle management capacity in Education, Charities and the Private Sector with a primary focus on developing programmes for under-represented sections of the community and marginalised groups in society.

Roger is passionate about promoting and advancing the aims and objectives of local charities and ensuring their sustainability for the long term. Roger has a track record of working successfully with charities, writing and winning funding tenders, and providing business improvement services bespoke to the Third Sector.

Jones Thomas

Jones is a company director for a number of organisations within the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire regions. Organisations include a wide portfolio of companies ranging from office and I.T supplies, property management, property development and estate agencies.

Raised within the Kirklees community, Jones has always been keen to support the local community in which he lives and works, providing opportunities across a range of sectors and empowering local charities to ensure their sustainability and enable them to bid for funding and raise their local profile.

Jones has recently worked with a charity in Huddersfield to provide housing and an educational platform for young adults learning the care system, as well as providing housing and educational support for asylum seekers and refugees, enabling them to integrate into the local community. Jones has supported several charities in recent years, enabling them to bid successfully for funding and provided business consultancy services to ensure charities are fit for purpose.

Zee Faridi

As an innovative and entrepreneurial business development expert, Zee has in-depth experience of utilising social media and marketing to promote business activities across the Third Sector. Zee has an excellent track record of identifying funding opportunities and working with business start ups in the Third Sector. Zee can provide extensive expertise in revenue generation, operational management and oversight, team management and client retention.

Born and bred in Huddersfield, Zee is committed to giving back to the local communities of Kirklees. This includes establishing the Helping Hand Foundation in 2015, supporting the homeless population of West Yorkshire, and implementing the initiation of the Everybody Eats projects in 2017, aimed at aiding impoverished individuals in Huddersfield. Zee also dedicates his time conducting workshops in charities and schools across West Yorkshire, supporting and encouraging young people to develop their business ideas and delivering keynote speeches to inspire others with his journey.
